2 months circumcision swelling

Nearing two months post circumcision. Have masturbated only a handful of times but all times without touching or pulling the actual penis. After masturbation meatus gets swollen and is sensitive and general swelling is worse. At the moment there are a few bumps of swelling on one side and a sort of small band of swelling as well. It’s really frustrating how it doesn’t seem to be changing much. Any advice

Hey bud, I have been there since september and I was not seeing an improvement at all but I tried to stop masturbating and then it was looking a bit better. Also avoid having powerful erections. I would also recommend you to massage the area of the scar with oil. That will allow you to heal faster.

And of course this can take either a month or several.

In order to avoid masturbation I am doing more sport, reading, drawing... Something that makes me be far from screens during non-working hours. I know it's hard not to masturbate but believe me when I telling you that it will be worth.

I spoke my doctor today and he said everything sounds perfectly normal. I probably will take your advice and leave it alone for a week or two. It’s just very frustrating as the problem which led me to have the procedure stopped me from sex/masturbation and now the recover period is doing the same. And since I’m 18 it’s the worst age to have it done

I know I'm butting into your conversation here, but look at it this way. Your 'problem' prevented you from having sex/masturbation. The recovery period may be doing the same - but only for a few weeks. Being two months into recovery, I reckon you're nearly there, so hang on. Enrique97's advice is sound; try to keep your mind off sex and your hand off your penis for a little longer. For a teenager I know it's not easy - but it's worth having the will-power. no srsly its fine, all advice and help is appreciated. and yh, ill definitely give it a go now. Dr said anyways that in a few more weeks things should look better. Thanks for all the help!

Well said guys! This support is really important for those recovering (me included) :). Don't worry, it's a bit tough when you're 18 but once it's done, you will still be sexually active for many many years and you will enjoy it a lot.

That's exactly the point, Enrique. When you're young, even the sight of a crack in the pavement brings on an erection (well, almost...), but there's the rest of your life to consider, and self-restraint now will pay dividends in the months and years to come. The support you can get on here is vital, and it's a good place to air ones fears and misgivings, and ask questions - and hopefully get some worthwhile opinions and advice.
