Post circumcision - Do the stitches have to scab in order to heal correctly?

I was circumcised ~ 2 weeks ago and the underside of my penis is scabbing up and appears to be healing normally. However. on the top side, the surgeon appears to have left some excess skin that folds up over the incision and covers part of the glans (particularly when I’m sitting). When I pull this skin back I can see the stitches but there is still no scab forming (I’m assuming because it is too moist in the fold or something?).

Is this something that happened to anyone else/something I should be concerned about?

You don’t want it too scab. Wounds heal better being moist. Put Vaseline on everyday. Don’t let it dry out.

I'm having the same issue, I'm 1 week now. A couple of my stitches came out already on one side. Spoke to the GP and they said it should heal on its own. But I also have a little excess skin that goes over the incision line. Along the stitches it's very white skin and moist. Please keep this updated as you heal

I have same issue from one side it looks like swelling but sometimes looks like extra skin with fold inside

I think doctor made it intentionally to adjust and save wound from night erections
