You can start to apply mineral oil like 'bio-oil' when the wound is healed, sealed and there is no discharge anymore. You can use it as a moisturiser twice a day for the next 4-6 months at least.
Like you may have heard there are more scientific and evidence based data for silicone scar sheet than any oil in scar healing.
