Bph surgery and retrograde issues

Had BPH surgery now struggle with retrograde ejaculation and weak erections at best . Been almost 2 years of any sexual activity…..

What is BPH surgery please?

My understanding is that BPH stands for Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia. It is enlargement of the Prostate gland, the ‘benign’ part meaning non-cancerous.

Sorry to hear about your struggles. I have BPH too, but have avoided surgery so far. I take tamsulosin and low dose Cialis to treat the symptoms. I intermittently get retrograde. It’s a side effect of the medication. I must admit it doesn’t really bother me.

I can relate. I have the same condition as far as retrograde from aTURP for BPH. I was told you don’t make a mess which is true but it’s a weird feeling when nothing comes out. Plus the pain o have from retro is grueling. I avoid ejaculation because of the pain. I have talked to several Urologists who say it’s normal. I have one urologist who has sent me to physical therapy. Pelvic floor physical therapy. I have just started so we will see how that works out.
