Hello all, I've just got my surgery for circumcision + removal of my frenulum as I had phimosis since young. The swelling and redness has mostly subsided now, stitches are still intact.
The circumcision has been done in such a way that there is a thick band of flesh (what was previously the inside of the foreskin) below the glands (i.e., the head) and resting on the shaft, sort of like a thick rubberband. I am just concerned as to how the penis will look like eventually? Will this thick layer of flesh flatten out and become a fold in the skin, once the stitches fall off?

I would just like to clarify if the band of flesh (which resembles a donut) is part of the circumcision technique, or if it is just swelling which will go down over time?
I appreciate that it might be difficult for fellow readers of this forum to visualise my description above but would there be any others who experienced the same issue as I am facing now?
Mine had some flesh below which when healed did disappear. It’s hard to say without seeing a pic but it should go mate. If u have any issues then I would speak to a doctor for peace of mind. You can’t post pics on here anymore to show the issue unfortunately
10 weeks post circ and I’ve got the same,I went back to the doc and he said it’s normal, just fluid that will drain over time but that it takes up to a year for complete healing post op.He said gently massaging a vitamin E enriched mineral oil can help, bio oil is one but any VE oil is just as good.
Exactly thats what i am going through but in the base of frenulum as my frenulum was not removed. A doughnut like formation in the base, scary to see. Im on my 6th day.
