When will the swelling go away?

So I got circumcised last year in October and I am also 22 years old in case if anyone wanted to know. Anyways after my circumcision I been going to my urologist every 3 months to see how it is doing. Everything is fine now it doesn't hurt anymore and I been having sex and its been great but whenever my penis is flaccid I still have the swelling around the head of the penis and I asked my urologist what to do to make it heal faster and he said all I can do is wait but he keeps saying that every time we meet and I asked him how long could it take to fully heal and he didn't really give me a definitive answer he just kept saying to wait and let take some time.

I’m 5 weeks post op. I know I’m still early on but I still have a lot of swelling under frenulum area and the swelling ring around the head. Is that what you have going on still? I hear it can take up to a year or even greater to go away. Apparently it’s supposedly lymphoedema. Dude, I wake up sick every day I look at my dick. Doesn’t feel like it will ever go away. My Urologist never mentioned this prior to my surgery. For me I just can’t understand why some people’s lymph system can repair in under a month’s time and it takes others up to a year. It has to be more science behind this. It also has to be a better rational than peoples bodies heal differently.

I know man. It annoying as hell. I’m thinking about seeing a lymphatic drainage specialist in the next couple weeks if it doesn’t get a lot better.

Same here after 7 month, I got a lump under head as well as a part of the ring. The doc at hospital say I just need to wait. I heard someone said it can take 6-18 months to heal. I’m very swell on under head , now just on the right side, left side getting smaller. So I guess we just need to wait. Hang in there

I’m having the same thing as you described. The urologist tells me the same thing and that everything looks fine and I just have to wait. Did you get a low circumcision. I got a low circumcision I went to this online page to speak to another urologist and get a second opinion he said “it might be due to excess skin and some swelling“. I hope it gets better I got my circumcision on September 3 2020 11 months. Hope the best for ya.

Perhaps you might think of consulting a second opinion from a good dermatologist.

We think circ will solve all problems, but the passage of time only seems to bring more and more unexpected, occasional worrisome and sometimes painful and plaguing consequences.

Doctors seldom seem to warn patients about some of these long-term benefits.

Healing can take time. However it would be easier to provide input if one saw the results. L
