Well I’m 28 days on now from having a circumcision, following diagnosis of severe phimosis which worsened over past year or two, and led to balantis.
Operation was fine & pain was & has been mild since. Not needed any painkillers at all.
Recovery has been tough though and is still ongoing. I’d say the stitching area is 80% healed now on the surface, just a small area lagging & still scabbed over. No pain, discharge or blood for over a week though.
Hypersensitivity was never severe for me, but has receded to minimal levels over past week. Night time erection discomfort has also improved in last week, now getting full sleep at night compared to 3-4 hours in first 2 weeks.
I’m also back to full exercise, managed a full 10k run on Sunday (25 days post op), started back the previous week, no discomfort or any issues at all from this, just make sure I vasoline head & healing areas before running to protect from sweat/irritation, and wear tight pants.
Remaining issues?
1) Still can’t consistently pee straight. Spraying issues particularly at start. Think it’s slowly improving, but can see it causing issues for a few more weeks yet.
2) Still feels like further healing needed to be able to handle it 100% comfortably with no sensitivity related feedback. Doesn’t quite feel normal yet!
3) Psychological worry of what it will feel like when I first try to masturbate or have sex, think I’ll get used to the former first, but feels like starting again for the 1st time! Hoping it feels okay/normalish.
Am I pleased I had the op? Dunno, will follow this post up in another 4 weeks, and let you know!!
Any questions, happy to answer.

How long did the swelling go away for u? I’m 1 week post op now and I don’t see any improvements with the swelling which has been a bit painful and annoying. Been sleeping naked since day 1 .
Hey just met my surgeon today! He said the swelling takes time ! It gradually flattens out. Swelling is the area where there are stitches so it takes time! I’m on day 9, i also sleep naked but the reason is sensitivity of glans and tip, it cannot tolerate the touch of my blanket! Let it take time be patient!!
Swelling started to recede after about 10 days, more significantly between 14-21 days though. One trick I used that may have helped was when trying to sleep but struggling with painful night time erections I ‘d use an ice pack for 15-20 minutes. Think that may have helped reduce the swelling.
I had a real bad swelling until I started to tug him up so that the blood can constantly flow out of it. Now the swelling is almost gone as a whole (day 17 here)
Same here but I still can’t pee straight, at least at the start, not so bad once it gets going! Worried I’ll need another op to correct this as hasn’t improved much given how far the swelling as a whole has reduced. Certainly won’t go under the knife anytime soon again though, they’ve hacked away enough at my poor old penis for this year. No more.
Yeah just frustrated as others have said it’s an issue but for them it seemed to resolve after a few weeks, whereas I’m now at 4 weeks and not seen much improvement yet in this one area. Everything else going great!
Let finish it 4 week complete bro after day 40 my pee similar to before so wait i am also have same issues at week 4 pee start spray or end spray.. after healing good then we can force it as before so it stay straight...
