Daily itching of circumcision skin only

Hi guys

I was circumcised at birth, so it's nothing new. But for some reason, for the last 7-10 days, I've had daily itching of my circumcision scar skin (around the head of my penis). I thought this might be the soap I'm using but I've been using that for years. I've switched anyway, and it's still itchy/sore.

I've tried an antibacterial cream but that doesn't seem to be doing much.

There are no red spots or lumps or anything - just itchy skin - not flaky, just itchy ... it gets red and a bit swollen after scratching like mad, of course, and then it's fine for a few hours. Until it starts again.

Does anyone know what could be causing this?

Itching without any problems means its healing.like how when u get a cut anywhere while it heals after a while it itches

Just not sure what's causing it to be slightly red and itchy all the time, which causes scratching, which makes it sore eventually, which then gets itchy again ...

Dont scratch it. As it will cause more itching. Also I didnt read that u were circumcised at birth. But if it is red after scratching it will itch and heal back. Maybe use Vaseline or something to smooth the skin etc.or go to the doctor.

Try a yeast cream such as Clotrimazole. Athlete's foot cream is one such.
