Tight rubber band feeling under circumcision line

Hi everyone, I had circumcision exactly a month ago now everything is going great, only concern is right under the circumcision feels like there is a tight rubber band around the circumference of my penis when I get hard and it’s a bit painful to try and pull skin down when I have an erection, does anyone else have this problem? Or does it go away after time like does it get softer?

Yep. It will soften to elastic skin, when the scar develops. It took more than three months. My scar is as elastic as shaft skin now 16 months post-op. You can apply any fragrance free moisturizer on scar or use silicone scar gel/sheet on scar.

Thanks! I was super worried maybe he over cut or something and was just going to be tight like that, but when not erect I can pull skin down freely so I knew there was soemthing more to it!

Well, my size was the same all the time, but the scar line was deeper ring on shaft skin, but I was able to move it up & down. It wasn't stuck in penis shaft.

Hi Coco, it should improve in time but you need to stretch it. try to have regular erections for as long as you can keep them using a little Bio-Oil or coconut oil and massaging will also help eventually the skin will soften and stretch.

It could take a few months but it should improve see how it goes 👍🏼

Me too. Mine has lessened but not dissapeared and I dont mind that feeling to be honest! Give it a few months and if it's still a problem ask your doc?

Well it’s not so much the band itself that bothers me it just doesnt allow my skin to fully retract down, which I feel like during intercourse and the rubbing might get pulled down on accident will hurt bad lol

Mate iv got exactly the same thing!!! Iv been meaning to post this for a while now! I even rang the sergeon. Basically I didn’t no how circumcisicion worked all I new is they cut the forskin of and sow it that’s about it but then I seen they put a cilicone ring and it’s suppose to fall of after a week or so well I can’t remember any of this happening I don’t no if I didn’t have that type of circumcision or not I’m guessing it’s like that for everyone but then I thought about it because iv been reading things about how the ring can not fall of and become basically stuck down the shaft. So when I’m hard on the right side of my penis under the scar it’s tite and if I touch it I can basically feel there is something under this skin like a rubbery line but on the left there isn’t anything there but when soft I can also feel it’s there literally like something is stuck i meen I rang the sergeon he told me to come in but I was at work and never did I thought mayb it would go down but it still seems to be there and I’m 2 months post this sunday is this something u have ?

Hmm I haven’t heard about that elastic band but it sure does feel like it!! I’ll have to call my surgeon if he used that or it just feels like a band!

There is no real rubber band on traditional circumcision, where scalpel and sutures were used. Only disposable ZSR circumcision stapler uses silicone band on wound, which should ease to loosen the staples, when they are ready to drop.
