I had the exact same situation as you. I struggled with phimosis from a young age and didn't realize the severity of it until a year ago. I had the surgery done at the beginning of December and I honestly feel so much better.
I just had one concern though 
Let's be honest, we all care about the size of our penises and I actually used to take a lot of pride in my size. The thing that is bothering me is that I still haven't returned back to my regular size even though I had my surgery done 4 months ago. I'm still roughly an inch smaller than I was prior to the surgery. Many people on here said that size should return back to normal within a few weeks but it has been well over that for me.
I was just hoping you could share you experience in that sense because I feel a little insecure lol.
Just wanted to add another thing haha, my scar visually looks like it has healed but the skin is still very hard. When I pinch it, the scar tissue is more firm and "thick" compared to the rest of the skin on my shaft. I feel no pain or discomfort when erect or flaccid but the scar tissue is still quite hard, even 4 months post-op.
Hey man! Maybe the size difference has to do with the fact that you used to measure your dick using the extra length that the foreskin added?
My scar softened up over time, it took quite a while so don’t worry! Give it time. My cock used to swell up after sex or jerking off, this happened even a year after the procedure. Now everything is back to normal. In my personal opinion, circumcisions recovery process is a really long one man
Ayy appreciate the response man! As for measuring length, I know for a fact, I excluded the extra length the foreskin added because I would measure from the base to the peak of the tip. My recovery is definitely taking some time but its nice to know that other people share a similar experience. Cheers brotha!

I had a similar experience - something of a hard scar line that took quite a while to release. Mine took several months, but at some point it did release and I got back to normal length.

Hey I got my circumcision done 6 weeks ago also because of phimosis. My wound has healed pretty well but I’ve still got some swelling/bumps around the scar line that doesn’t seem to be going away. I was wondering if you could remember how long it took for all of your swelling to go down? I also still have some uncomfortable sensitivity on the glands when anything rubs against it. Do you remember how long it was before this was no longer an issue?

Swelling took forever to subside in my case. My dick would swell up like crazy after sex or jerking off. I was fucking scared but it completely went away a year later (it was gradual, I didn’t even notice when it stopped).

Around 3-4 weeks! I did it very carefully the first time, then I waited another extra two weeks just to be sure

I got the opt in November last year and 4 months plus later I am still having the hypersensitive issue though it has somehow subside. I've exposed it to air every night while sleeping and exposed to clothing almost daily. The process is taking long time
It took months! Don’t worry. I remember feeling a lot of discomfort by walking around and having the head rubbing against my boxers. This lasted for months!

I'm almost at 6 weeks, swelling and sensitivity have gone down alot from the first few weeks. My main issue is now, when I walk I get alot of discomfort and friction pain around the base of the head and the frenulum. The scarring there is bumpy and hard so I wondered if that pain and discomfort goes when the scarring softens?

It doesn’t matter that your surgeon has 40 years experience if he is removing tissue with thousands of nerve endings and your glans dries up and cauterises you will loose a lot of sensation.
