3 stitches wound open after my circumcision 2 weeks a go is this a big problem

I go to a doctor in the morning February 24 because i have a problem with my circumcision i found that the two stitches is broken and it result for wound open but the doctor says its not a big problem he give me ointment apply 2times a day morning and night for the wound to avoid infection also he recommend me to put a gauge but then when i remove the gauge to apply an ointment in the night i found that 1 stitches is fall out again and have a blood clot i feel more worried and depressed i this a big problem

Don't worry brother, I had like 4 stitches rip up because of midnight erections. My wound opened up pretty bad. As long as there isn't any bleeding you will be safe. Your wound will heal by secondary intention. Mine has almost sealed back up will take an extra week or two to heal. I was a nervous reck as well. Follow your doctors instructions and you will be fine brother.

Mines broken after 9 days, your wound is sealed no pain, no blood. Just be patient and be sure to keep area clean. No sex or no masterbation.

what do you mean by secondary intention? Does this mean itll heal normally without re-stitch?

There is a simple solution when the wound open, place steri strips after applying an antiseptic and thoroughly dried with a sterile compress. Do not touch the Strips until they fall alone, make a bandage over them with a sterile compress.

Advice I got was to keep the area as dry as possible, so take quick showers and dry the area with a hairdryer on a low cold setting or standing in front of a fan. Never touch the area without washing your hands first.

I've been using a 3 layered wrap when I need to wear clothes. The first layer I use is a strip of Jelonet gauze (its actually used to treat burns and has a protective gel), followed by a strip of Melolin Gauze (Cushioned and absorbent. Shiny side towards the wound). The final layer is the bandage to keep it all in place - I'm now using blue sports bandage as it's super secure.

It's been two weeks since almost all my stitches popped and doing the above has saved my penis as it's healing quite well (all things considered)

I’m on my 11th day woke up this morning and took the gauze off and 5 stitches are ripped open I’m so frustrated because this process is already bad enough and know I have to deal with these open stitches and how I have to wait an extra week or two to get back to normal you have to be kidding me

I’m having the same issue , I had mine done on the first of February and Iv had two stitches burst open. I wasn’t given much guidance on what to expect and how long. It’s dose take the piss. Two months healing time is quite long really.

I feel your pain 4 of them burst while I was sleep had a damn erection week after I had surgery this month on the 4th test of stitches dissolved and one stitch is not vanish yet which is where my stitches burst so have a small wound went to my Urologist and he told me it’s healing fine and that wound will close up fine and I said why the hell did I need stitches if the damn wound can heal on its own he did we sometimes don’t give baby’s stitches they heal fine their edge skin so I have to see him around October when which is over 42 days…

Hi guys.

Had my circumcision 2 weeks ago. Thankfully no pain now or sensitivity which is great!

My only concern is that all of my stitches around the left, right and back are still in, but the front ones came away really early and now there is quite a large gap. Will this heal over or do I need to get my stitches redone?

When I have an erection, the foreskin sits where it should, but unerect, it covers the bottom part of the bell quite a lot, and just wondering if this is normal?

Any help would be very much appreciated.

It will heal I have a gap as well which 4 of the stitches came undone doc said it is okay it will heal on its own just clean it and dry it out

I have the same as this . Couple come away and now it looks little open where the two stitches were so I’m worried . Did u get it resticted or did it heal in time. Midnight erections have caused mine I think . Keen to know how this resolved for people?

I circumcised 29th last month...and yesterday the stiches came out automatically....it shouldn't break in 2-3 days so i would suggest you to visit your surgeon .

As My surgeon said , you can clean it after 7 days of surgery with salt water

I Just had the same thing.... It's day 13 and I noticed that I have an opening underneath the frenulum. It scared the crap out of me. I'm going to the Dr. tomorrow. I assume the stiches came out on a early morning erection. I will let yall know what he says...

My circumcision was about 9 days ago now, 3 stitches have popped and now theres a deep(ish) hole below the frenulum while some pus is secreting from the frenulum (no fever or pain). 2 of the stitches that popped have a shallow canal from where it was, like a shallow scar. Should I be worried and if so, how should I go on with taking care of this?
