Weird bump/lump on penis shaft

About a month ago I noticed a lump towards the top of my penis shaft, just to the side of my frenulum. It’s sort of like a ball/bead/bubble but under one centimetre. You can’t really see it visually and it doesn’t hurt at all and no other symptoms I’m aware of.

It comes up and seems bigger/firmer when I have an erection, and gets smaller, if not disappears, a few hours after (the general size hasn’t changed since noticed it). However sometimes it sticks around, a bit squidgy but fixed in one place, as it has done for the past two days. When I poke it, it does seem to get smaller (sometimes). I suppose it kind of feels a bit like lymph node or similar.

I saw the doctor (virtually and in person exam) who said it didn’t seem serious, but they didn’t really give me an explanation as to what it is. They vaguely mentioned having a scan but when I got back in touch, there is no record that one should be booked, so don’t really know where to go with that.

Has anyone else had anything similar? I’m kinda freaking out, even though the doctor(S) didn’t seem overly concerned.

You need to contact your doctor and ask for that scan mentioned on your last consultation. If you have issues getting your scan I would see the doctor and ask for a copy of the scan referral request!!

I had something similar and it was a bunch of subcutaneous sutures that were all anchored into the skin in that area, just under the surface. Except I had 4 bunches, at 12,3,6, and 9 o’clock positions.

Mammajammer - could it be a vein? Especially if it is more noticeable when you are erect?

I suppose the only way you will know is after a scan.

Hi,

Penile cancer survivor here... It could be so many things, and it's probably nothing to worry about, but you need to have that scan and see what's going on in there. They might take a biopsy too.

It'll be less than an hour of your life.

I’ve contacted the GP so I’ll see if they follow up with the scan, as they initially said. They did say that they think it very unlikely it could be anything sinister like cancer - and from reading the presentation of this would be unusual for a lump that decreases in size from time to time?

Really unusual! But keep the pressure up on the GP, there's no harm in getting peace of mind.

Please tell meI'm also having a small bump on penis. first I noticed it 2 or 3 months ago and thought it's a vein as it was very minute.

But now it's almost a size of beed..diameter is about 0.5 cm

Please tell me what should i do.

What is it.

Should I consult doctor.if yes which doctor.

What will happen if it's ignored

I think it's really a conversation you need to have with your doctor! They can check it out, maybe do a biopsy and find out for sure. It could be a hundred different things, and the doctor is the best place to start.

As others have said, go to your GP. However, while I can’t speak for you (although it sounds similar) from further reading it sounds as though what I have described is a Lymphocele. They apparently disappear with time, just leave your junk alone.
