Dressing or no dressing?

Hey guys I just did my circumcision 5 days ago. I took off the dressing the second day and kept on wrapping it with a moist dressing. I clean with salt water and replace dressings too. I’m leaving them moist because I heard it heals faster and it’s way more comfortable when place my shlong upwards. I heard having it upwards helps with inflammation. My thang looks like it has a puffy jacket on. Should I keep on with the dressing or drop it?

I replied to you on another post too but I’m not sure if wrapping helps or not, it was way too uncomfortable for me, and I wasn’t working/in school at the time so I just didn’t bother doing it, after I took the surgeons dressing off it I just used to sit with no pants on for as long as I could, day in day out until it was comfortable enough. how long did it take to feel comfortable ?

About two weeks before I could walk normally, but still a bit uncomfortable, then by the fourth week I was back to normal.

I kept a ointment compress on it until there was no more blood or other fluids being absorbed. 2 months after surgery i just use loose dressing for comfort

Really it what you comfortable with. I had stopped dressing by day five, just using non stick dressing as a pad to keep it still under my pants.Salt water washing can help but not sure it should be left moist as this may delay healing, the wound needs to dry and scab to aid healing.

Do not wet the wraps, apply a little neosporin or castor oil around incision, apply a dry wrap. This is considered a moist environment.
