Scabs will come off when they have done their work of wound protection. Wait and do not try to remove it.

It was probably about 6-7 weeks for me. I took the advice of the people here and did not remove them. I am glad. They are a part of the healing process.

There may be some discomfort once they come off so you may not be in a hurry to remove them.

Just be patient, and keep using the vaseline! Mine used to bleed a lot and it was like a big jammy ring of dried blood when it fell off. the scabs just keep getting smaller and smaller before it sorts itself out.

It does take a few weeks before you can really give it a beating though.
