Open Wound - week 4 Post Circumcision.

I have had 3 stitches which came out in week 1 post my surgery , after that it has been a long process of healing. I m largely healed now but the right underside and Frenulum side there is an open wound - a small incision which is yet to heal. Doc has cleaned it thrice as slough / edema had formed and given some meds. I am applying betadine everyday and bandaging it post shower but not seeing any improvement . Any one else has faced this situation . If yes then how long it took to heal and what did you do ?? Looking for some views and suggestions here from people who may have experienced this.

We all heal at different rates so timing is difficult to predict. Have you planned a review with your doc if no improvement?

Yes. Have been meeting him every alternate day and he also seems to be clueless

That is incredible doctor contact. A lot of guys have difficulty seeing a doctor. You need to be asking him specific questions.

Yes. He just recommended a diabetes test tommorow as he doubts that I may have high sugar level which is delaying the healing . Really going crazy now as I need to join new work place next week and this is still not healed. I have ordered dermahoney cream as well .

Every alternate day as he also wants to clean the wound of slough to improve healing time. Quite painful the task is but still going ahead with what he says

Quick update : Sugar level is all ok. No issue there

Met with the doc .. He says healing has started and skin is forming from bottom up in the wound area and i can stop using bandages now.. No risk of infection.. Lots relieved .. Will start using Medi honey gel from tommorow morning and hoping to get ok in next week or so..

Medi Honey is like magic .. 24 hours since I used and I can see effects.. Thanks to S2BC for recommending this & also Hidden for all the support and guidance . The journey to recovery is still on but with the wound healing now I am sure would win in the end.
