Swelling on shaft after circumcision

So I just had my circumcision 4 days ago and I’m just curious if it is normal for my penis to turn purple up and under the shaft. It also feels different when I touch it then other parts of my penis that aren’t purple. Kind of like numbish. I know swelling is supposed to occur but I just don’t know if it’s normal or not if it turns purple on the shaft. Thank you!

My shaft was bruised and purple as well. I did go away by week 2.

I had mine done 13 days ago and yes i did see penis head turn a bit purple at the head.. but now its gone.. one of my friends also experienced the same and it appears to be normal. Regardless i would still say to give a call to your on call doctor or surgeon and just let them know what you’re facing...

I know the penis head turning purple is normal but what about ur shaft? Did that turn purple for you?

My shaft didn’t turn any purple..

Might it be bruising from where you were injected with local anaesthetic?

if it turns purple call your doctor, although swelling is normal, i have slight as well.

That happened to me also. My doctor said it isn't a problem. I am on month 4 now. The purple color starts to go away and it become more pink. I guess in the future it will keratinize.

I am guessing this happens because the corona is snuggly hidden by the foreskin. Maybe even suffocated a bit. Naturally, it isn't suppose to be revealed.
