Wearing protective cup

Recovering from circumcision. Just was wondering going back work which involves ton walking. My question is will protective cup help keep my penis from moving around?. Like just wearing underwear hasn't been bad but nervous on 8 HR shift won't be able to adjust if need to.

I have no idea of those sporty protective cups, but why don't you just wrap it to a roll bandage or silicone scar sheet to avoid friction on incision line or is your penis head too sensitive still?

I bought like gauze but it kind hurt when used it but I was on week 2 so may try it again.

Again, are we talking about protecting the scar line itself or too sensitive glans or both?

Frenulum part hurts most and very tip glands.

Ok. Do you still have some wound drainage on the frenulum area? If so, you may spread some petroleum jelly on to gauze or skin to make sure that the gauze won't stuck in wound. Roll bandage is not the best one if you like to cover the glans too. I think you'd like to pee on shift.

Ok cool

I used the cardboard tube from a kitchen roll to provide protection from unexpected contact for a few days. It helped a lot.

I have taken all the best advice from this group and a close friend whom has gone through this as well and found I seem to be ahead of progress.

Use gauze with Vaseline, just bear in mind that lots of walking will melt the Vaseline, so wear black pants or jocks with boxers to prevent staining your pants.

The biggest learning curve for me has been understanding the difference between pain, sensitivity and pressure. Tolerate everything that is not actual pain and trust that even pain won’t last long and just be gentle with the painful parts. I found any pain would go away shortly once everything was settled in jocks.

I found snug jocks and jockstraps easy to be able to walk all day. The most annoying thing is bending to sit and stand (it doesn’t hurt but you feel it) and bending to lift things.

Jockstraps give you support with the least amount of movement.

I am currently on week 3 and 3 days and I found what I’ve done to be annoying at first but I am now at a point of no pain at all.

I can’t directly touch my glans, that’s still sensitive to pressure touch, but it’s completely ok in jocks now and no discomfort removing to go to the toilet.

Today is the first day I haven’t used any Vaseline or gauze and I feel ok.

Occasionally when readjusting after going to the toilet I can feel a bit of nerve pressure tucking myself in, but it doesn’t hurt.

Vaso up, use gauze covered in vaso if it’s easier or hurts to rub on and wear dark clothes. You’ll be right mate.

On your direct question, I think a cup would be a bit hard and be uncomfortable to touch, but could work if packed with vaso’d up gauze.

See that my main issue. I feel lot mental bc trying to see difference vs sensitive and pain.

Well, when you are healed properly. The normal sensitivity on whole flaccid penis is quite similar than when you touch with your fingertip to your shaft skin now.

An abdo cup really helps in the early days to keep everything in place, especially when it is sensitive.
