Fever after circumcision

Hi guys, I am circumcised 4 days ago.

From the second day I started to have low grade mild fever between 99 to 100 degree farenheit.

Strangely i am feeling fit and well.There is no pain or any fluid discharge from stitches.Only mild swelling on glans and shaft.

What are the possible reasons of fever ?

I have Google a lot.Fever after circumcision is not common.And if fever develops with in 24 to 48 hours after any surgery, chances are that it's not due to postoperative infection.Currently I am taking antibiotics.Fever is continuous.

Could it be covid ? Should I go for covid testing? Or it will subside on its own.

Fever is always an indication to see a doctor. Don’t guess or google, there’s just too many variables for fever. Could be related or unrelated to your surgery.

I hope that you’re just hot and completely fine, but see a doctor 100%

I have consulted my surgeon.He advised me to have covid test if fever persists for longer.To rule out infectious cause, he prescribed me antibiotics.Tomorrow I will go for covid testing.I asked the question to know if any one on this forum had fever after circumcision as it is not common in circumcision.

I developed a fever 3 weeks into my circumcision which turned out to be infection. Dont trust google, go see your doctor👍

Fever is not something to self diagnose or self medicate. See your doctors ASAP.
