I’ve never seen a doctor about it, its extremely tight , never retracted back. Now the bottom of the head looks like it’s getting swollen and it’s stingy. I have bad anxiety Aswell which isn’t helping, so unsure about how to talk to my gp about it.. any advice

I worried myself silly during my teenage years as my foreskin was very tight. I eventually went to the doc and was so glad I did afterwards. Your doctor will have seen more penises than he/she’s had hot dinners and once you’ve been it’ll feel like a huge weight off your mind. Make sure you’re told all the choices and not just told that circumcision is the answer. My doctor told me to stretch and roll it back and it would hopefully eventually loosen up. In my case he was right and I’m happy to have a fully functioning foreskin!

As Hidden said you need to see a doctor To a doctor your penis is just another part of your body that can have problems.

Here is some information on your condition: nhs.uk/conditions/phimosis/

Get that appointment made and I am sure it will go well

I’m not sure it’s the best time to see a doctor at the minute, with all the covid stuff going on. Don’t want to take appointments from people who may need it more. But it is causing pain and getting annoying now, every time I get close to phoning the doctors I have a panic attack 😂

Your problem is not going to go away on it’s own. Delay in seeing your doctor makes little sense. I know it’s difficult, but just do it. Once you have made the actual appointment you will feel better.

Many first appointments are now conducted over the phone. If the doctor then needs to see you, as he may well need to do to properly diagnose and treat phimosis, then you will be given an appointment to see him.

Don't worry about other people. Your needs are important and things can only get worse and harder to treat if you delay too much.

I have the same problem and I’m 40!!

I had a telephone appointment with my GP yesterday, literally lasted 5 minutes. He’s prescribed a steroid cream for me to try and I’m to call to review in 3 weeks.

Trust me bro felt same way. If u really nervous just say on phone hey I want to do physical. Then go in appt and tell him what going on. Doctor is professional won't care. Most likeky have balanitis/ phimosiz so he may give u some clortimaze cream( it longer name but drawing blank) the cream will help pain and possibly help so skin won't be so tight.

If few months still having issues go back. If u don't comfortable telling nurse just say hey I just want to office visit about my phimosis. My nurse was like u need come in today bc they know it important ...

Self diagnosis and application of over the counter creams may actually do more harm than good. SEE the doctor and get the right treatment.
