Is bruising on glans normal?

I got circumcised back in may because of phimosis. My glans had never been exposed and I’m wondering if continued bruising on the glans is normal? The initial bruising from the operation healed a few weeks afterwards but I’m almost 3 months in and I notice new bruises every now and then. I walk a lot at my job which causes a lot of movement down there (even with tight boxer briefs).

My glans still feels uncomfortably sensitive and I feel like it’s never gonna completely heal if I continue to get bruises. I’ve been using petroleum jelly, coconut oil, and bio oil separately to see which one works best for me but it feels like not much has changed. Any advice?

If you are having spontaneous bruising on your glans without trauma then you really need to see your doctor.

I wouldn’t say it’s spontaneous. It happens when it touches my boxers/pants and I walk a lot so it starts to feel irritated after a while. I’m sure that’s what’s causing it. I just don’t know how long my glans will be this sensitive to where it bruises this easily. Or if I should continue to play the waiting game.

Is it abrasions you are getting or actual blue bruises? Loss of sensitivity does not go in the same time span for every guy. Some take longer than others.

I can understand abrasions or even blisters but you would have to be really banging your penis around for you to get bruises. That is why I think a doctor consultation would be wise in case there are other issues going on.

Time will heal. It took my circumcision 6 months to heal but I’m 74 and have diabetes. 12 weeks is not abnormal to have bruising and soreness especially under penis
