Stitches not falling off

Am on day 12 after my circumcision but stitches are still not falling. Why is it so?

Just have patience. The doctors will tell you that they will fall off between 10-14 days however, everyone’s body works differently and will dissolve at a different rate. I literally had the procedure done and it took mine 6 weeks (42 days) as of today. Yours may fully dissolve faster than mine.

You’re welcome. I was frustrated with mine taking so long to fall off because of the discomfort of them sticking to my leg or grazing them against my covers or boxers when lever I had follow ups. It was very irritating. However, trust me in the end it’ll all be worth it. But what will take some getting used to is once you’re completely healed, walking with clothes on will feel different with your glans (head of the penis) constantly rubbing against your understand. Now that’s a bit weird for me.

How did take for you to start walking in clothes freely as normal?

Well because my doctors suggested for me it to go anywhere being that mine were dissolving slow I’d say 4 1/2 weeks.

I only noticed my stitches started falling off on Week 4. Maybe 4 or 5 fell off on Week 3. The last two stitches fell out when a scab crusted out. Pretty much it was dissolved from the body but being help in place by the scab.

My stitches started falling off on week 4 and were all gone by week 5. Many came off in the shower. Some came off with my bandage being removed or slipping off. The last 2 came off as they were attached to a scab.
