I removed my gauze on day four and did not use one after that. Kept the area cleaned and applied Neosporin 3-4 daily. Nothing happened!! Good luck
There is no need to put gauze over glans. Do you have wound there? Normally is enough to cover wound site itself.
About this , it's best to follow your doctors post op orders as he will know best . My doc removed my gauze on Day 3 after my circ procedure . I was sensitive too but the petroleum jelly helped me in this.
If you are feeling too sensitive and if topical moisturisers (non fragrant and non irritant) didn't work , you might have to get ointment prescribed by your doc. In most cases with time after circumcision , the glans gets desensitized on contact. All the best !
I stopped putting gauze after 3rd day, I take bath and clean the area with lukewarm water and apply neopsorin powder 2 times daily
