Healing after 1 month

Hi, I'm a month after circumcision. What do you think about the healing process? I am worried about the swelling and rest of stitches. I asked the doctor but he told me that they go out for up to six weeks. In the last photo I have marked the place between the swelling and the skin where a small gap appears. Has the wound here not healed yet?

My circumcision is pretty similar to yours, I did a revision two weeks ago. Did the doctor tell you what type of style he was going to perform? It seems like a very low and loose cut, can the foreskin cover the glands? (Partially/totally)

Did you get it done in Europe?

First of all it’s nice to hear that we have a similar cut. The doctor didn't tell me about the style of his job. And the last thing is that the foreskin only partially (1/3) covers the glans.

And yep, I did it in Europe.

Well, I have done it in England for the second time due to scarring scar line from the first one.

Before I had a bit more of the inner skin but now they had to remove more of it to draw another scar line... I hope we will both be fine

I think it looks good, I’m 4 weeks now and I’ve got fragments of the stitches left which I think are what’s causing small areas of inflammation but each time one comes out, that area goes back to normal. Also, I’ve got a larger open area than that near my frenulum and although it’s healing slowly it’s getting better so I wouldn’t worry. Keep having a daily wash and see if it helps break the stitches down more

Hi, it looks to be healing really well for one month any swelling that you have is not too bad it will eventually smoothing out. if you start using some Bio-Oil and massaging this will help with the swelling.

the stitches have done their job now I would prefer to have them removed at this stage they can aggravate the area with inflammation. I would also continue with some salted water for washing. In general though you should be happy it's looking good.

Thanks for your reply. Do you have some tips how to get rid of these stitches in a safe way? :)

A doctor or nurse would be able to remove them they would usually cut one side of the knot and then just pull the stitch out with a tweezers. the stitches have probably dissolved Inside you tissue and should easily come out. A Warm shower or bath before you have them removed would also help. 👍🏻

You’ve said you’re worried about swelling and rest of stitches, what specifically are you worried about? Swelling will be temporary and will eventually subside, stitches will be absorbed by the body tissue.

I wouldn’t bother trying to pull them out personally. Mine took five weeks as it did with others posting on here. No harm in trimming them though if they scratch and irritate.

I trimmed my stitches to the point where the knot was and because of how brittle they were they fell out very easily.
