Get checked!

Fellas, I am sharing my experience in the hope it helps someone else. My foreskin got gradually tighter over a number of weeks, but I left it unchecked out of embarrassment (I was 31 at the time) and because i didnt realise how serious it could get. I ended up needing emergency circumcision (literally blue lighted in am ambulance) and only narrowly avoided a complete amputation. I can laugh about it now... It was AGONY, humiliating, and neddless to say I couldnt shag for months. Don't do what i did! If you think you have a problem, go see your GP sooner rather than later! That's what they're for and trust me, they've seen it all before.

I'm fine now thanks for asking : )

Wouldn’t a dorsal slit or preputioplasty prevent para-phimosis and phimosis? What would be wrong with either of these done in your opinion? alsO would they ever do these on infants to preserve the tissue without removing it. I heard doing it on an infant would cause a circumcised look as an adult because the foreskin is retracted early on. What do you think?

Thank You for your very educated info :)

I like reading your posts, but I still think they should do circumcision by pulling at the tip and removing the overhang as this would create an actual circumcision, since circumcision means to cut around. Also the tip of foreskin is very stretchy for the exact purpose of removing it. In addition doing it this way would protect the testicles and the penis from being damaged in any way.

Also I was curious about why they put less tension on the ventral side when removing the foreskin. I would assume that they do this to prevent damage to the frenular artery.

The African circumcisions are different because they put just as much tension on the ventral side as they do on the dorsal side.

Nice talking with you :)
