Is stretching the frenelum achievable.

Hi, does anyone have any knowledge if loosening up a tight frenelum is possible or is surgery the only alternative if I really wanted to loosen up.

When pressure is applied downward on frenelum my head has a huge droop looks pretty ridiculous and not to comfortable.

imgur.com/a/DK1yYS4 <-- with slight pressure applied

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I do have one more question. I'm really curious what these two knots are under my head. imgur.com/a/07hcrKr

Just a little background, earlier in my days around age 13-15 I tried pulling back my foreskin which I never achieved before 14. When I did pull my foreskin back I was quite surprised but not sure what I was looking at, I could only see a little bit of my head the rest was skin attached all over my head while retracted. Over the coming years I attempted pulling this skin off my head with force with pus like substance hidden underneath the skin which was not exposed to air it was 100% covered with skin. Doing this as often as possible worked remarkably and revealed my head by 95% To this day I still have some weird features on my penis and in the front of my penis i'm still slowly making progress on revealing more of my head which has skin still attached in the front of my head. example - imgur.com/a/PpTqkTN.

Hi, you do have quite a tight frenulum and short I imagine it is quite uncomfortable at times it is similar to What mine was like you are in danger of tearing your frenulum. you could try some stretching methods or either have a frenuloplasty which would lengthen your frenulum and release the tension.

JaneDoe12 profile image
JaneDoe12 in reply to MrMac99

Do you know any stretching methods? Are frenuloplasty generally expensive?

MrMac99 profile image
MrMac99 in reply to JaneDoe12

If you pull your foreskin downward away from your glans with your fingers hold in this position do this several times a day. you could also try some steroid cream if you talk to your doctor they may give you some and discuss your options. I'm not sure about how successful stretching the frenulum is it's a fibrous piece of tissue and may not stretched that well. I'm not sure how expensive a frenuloplasty would be

Hi, would it be a bad idea to tear my frenelum purposely? Is it even possible or does it require a tremendous amount of force. I can feel the tension when barley tugged on. When I pull my frenelum away from my head and release the pressure, my penis actually looks pretty normal other than some adhesion in some places.

Im kind of afraid of getting it removed. It feels like A LOT of sensation runs through the frenelum. imgur.com/a/2cxW4D4 my frenelum is really close to the pee hole if it did tear is there high possibility of infection? I can tend to wounds quite well but never had a wound on my penis.

Hey, it's not something I could recommend you do. I know it is common for the frenulum to break during sex or even masturbation it can happen. mine did eventually break as well and it bled quite a lot it was quite sore and tender for a week I think you really should consult with your doctor first and get their opinion. you wouldn't have to have your frenulum removed they would just release it in a frenuloplasty it shouldn't affect your sensitivity.

Thanks for the reply and information.

If you have perfectly operating foreskin I couldn't imagine how removing it would have sexual benefits. If you could explain that part I would love to read it.

I'm just so confused on why my brothers and everyone else's penis are so "normal" compared to mine. My penis used to look so freaking weird its unbelievable and it still looks pretty weird lets be honest. Even if my parents wanted me to get circumcised as a baby I really feel I wouldn't have been able to, my foreskin was like glued to my head the first time I managed to retract it. The skin was literally like stuck on the head and I could barley see the tips of my head while retracted. Like what is that even called?? I know no one in my life or seen anything on line with people that has had this issue, my brothers could retract there foreskin at like age 2 or earlier. And here's me, happy as crap at age 14 to see my foreskin come back only to see some monstrosity of a penis. I went up to my brother to compare and see if mine really was that different, and I felt like an alien seeing the difference. Every time I would go to the tolite I would sit down and try to tear off the skin that was like glued to my head which worked somewhat, I could actually start seeing my head appear but took foooorreeverrr and absolutely killed my spirit and my drive to go out and have fun with girls. I couldn't ever take relationships with gals to the next step AND STILL CANT AND IT SUCKKKS! My penis looks so repulsive from the side, if i cant even bare to look at it at times I couldn't imagine a girl looking at it and being happy and that makes me so freaking sad. I don't mean to rant on here but I literally have no one else i can talk to this about and it tears me up on the inside. I just want to be flipping normal

MrMac99 in reply to JaneDoe12

Hey man don't get yourself down too much I think you have a good penis a really good size you have no worries in that department you have maybe a couple of issues but a lot of us guys have issues of our own nobody is perfect and any girl would be very happy with your tool.

You don't need to or have to have a circumcision a simple procedure to release your frenulum would make a big difference. if you can go to your doctor and ask them they will refer you to somebody who can help. I don't know where you're from is the health service free in your country? you could ask your parents to help I'm sure they realised as you were growing up things were different.

I've one question for you your meatus pee hole is it on the very tip of your penis or is it on the side just above your frenulum?

Don't worry yourself too much man everything will sort itself out we all have weird looking penises they come in all shapes and sizes yours is just a little bit different but your issues can be fixed.

Thanks man, I know I usually overthink this stuff which I shouldn't be I should just let life play out.. I want to talk to my mom about this, she has me on her insurance but I have a'lot of brothers who don't take care of their teeth and had to have filling recently was expensive with insurance so i'm afraid to even talk about it with her because she may feel bad because she may not be able to help me.. I guess the coming months I should start saving up for a possible operation.

And to answer your question my penis hole is right above the frenelum, some buddy on this men's health mentioned it I believe its called hypospadias glandula. I'

m not too sure what it is but I know it deals with the positioning of pee hole.

MrMac99 profile image
MrMac99 in reply to JaneDoe12

It's ok man I overthink stuff as well it's just the way we are and it's ok to want things to be right. You should have a chat with your Mum she will understand and I'm sure will help as well even if you have to wait a little while you should start saving it is a medical condition so your mum's insurance should cover it.

I think I may have mentioned it to you before about the hypospadias it's no harm to you but when you go to the doctor mention it to them it should be covered with your Mum insurance.

And as I said you have no worries with your cock it's a good size and it looks fine to me and I'm sure it still works fine and is pleasurable any girl would be happy with it, it's not how it looks it's what you do with it.

we all have our differences and insecurities Man.

in reply to MrMac99

I couldn’t agree more. Everything you’ve said is correct.

I got circumcised and it was the best decision I have made. I have more sexual pleasure. Masterbation and orgasms feel more intense. I would highly recommend a circumcision and frenuloplasty

Getting circumcised could be exactly what you need. Your confidence level could increase the very first time a girl would see it and give you a compliment. Talk with your GP about it, and read everything you can from reliable we sites, and stay away from the anti-circumcision fanatics who have an agenda and not looking out for your best interests.

I've seen some of the scaring from circumcision and that's what I'm worried about with circumcision. Like I've seen some really brutal scaring on this form and it looks appalling compared to smooth foreskin

Circedandlovingit profile image
Circedandlovingit in reply to JaneDoe12

Find a good surgeon and scarring won't be a problem. Just the sensation alone is enough of a reason to get circumcised, and please steer away away from the anti-circumcision propaganda here and elsewhere. A lot of false information being spread around by a small, but vocal group of fanatics on a crusade.

JaneDoe12 profile image
JaneDoe12 in reply to Circedandlovingit

I don't mean to steer people away from getting cut, I just wanted to mentioned why i'm kinda steering away from getting cut, recently on health unlocked i've seen peoples pictures after getting cut and they had some pretty nifty scaring which didn't look appealing at all that's why I mentioned it. But I've also seen some really nice penises that are circumcised so I guess it really depends on the surgeon.

Circedandlovingit profile image
Circedandlovingit in reply to JaneDoe12

Those pictures are a very small percentage of takes place. Most circumcisions will look a little "scarry" the first weeks until the swelling goes down. Mine was swollen at first, but each day less so, hardly any after the first week.

Circedandlovingit profile image
Circedandlovingit in reply to JaneDoe12

Choose a good surgeon and you will have a nice one too, and also be very happy with it. I was afraid to, and put it off for years. Now I wish I'd it done a lot sooner. Please realize, there some fanatics on the forum who want to end circumcision for everyone, and accuse people providing useful information as being the fanatics. You should at least consider getting circumcised.

There is a lot of bias on both sides, which is the problem. Please remember your circumcision is exquisite and I love yours :)

I know yours is a V cut. But did they remove any mucosal tissue besides the ridge band?

jimfromcalif profile image
jimfromcalif

Good news!! Yes, the frenulum responds to stretching. The frenulum and the frenar band are one continuous structure, so they are treated the same. The key to success is frequent application of tension.

Your ability to retract fully off the glans exposes both ends of your frenulum, giving you a great advantage to success. Simply grasp the two points of attachment and pull. Hold five minutes each time, four times per day. Do not skip any days and skin cells require up to six weeks to divide and multiply. If you skip, the skin will relax and revert to tightness again. Each six week interval creates a permanent gain, so this is a cumulative effort.

Refrain from washing with soap so your bacterial balance is not upset, and as a precaution against yeast infection, you may apply Clotrimazole.

Because of your anatomy, your situation may take only six weeks to fix. Avoid the use of steroids.

JaneDoe12 profile image
JaneDoe12 in reply to jimfromcalif

Thank you for the reply! I have the mindset to do this frequently and its something i'm really interested in, I already incorporate study time and weight lifting sessions through out the day so adding this shouldn't be a problem. Thank you so much for the instructions, means A LOT to me!

Should I just gently wash around my head with water and only fingers not a towel every once in awhile, I don't want to wipe away useful bacteria but also don't want to accumulate unhealthy bacteria? I'll refrain from using any chemical or shampoos and stuff. Again thank you for the great reply

Smegma is benign, so being absolutely squeeky clean is not necessary. simple once a day rinse with a finger wipe is sufficient.

Thank you for that referral. The archived entries there date back 16 years, giving good references to nearly every problem an intact man might have. PaulB and I saved scores and scores from the mistake of resorting to damaging surgery.

My frenulum was a on the tight side. No amount of stretching ever made it any better. A high and loose circumcision loosened it up, and I sill have most of the frenulum.

misterhyde profile image
misterhyde in reply to Circedandlovingit

Mine is too, and trying to stretch was a waste of time. Besides, a circumcised penis looks so much better. Can't wait to have mine done.

JaneDoe12 profile image
JaneDoe12 in reply to misterhyde

I don't understand when people say a circumcised penis looks so much better. You can retract your foreskin and boom looks like a circumcised penis..

Circedandlovingit profile image
Circedandlovingit in reply to JaneDoe12

A circumcised penis doesn't look the same, and several women I've been with can verify that. The extra skin has go somewhere, and will either bunch up at the base, shaft, or near the glans. Not having the extra skin getting in the way is just one benefit of having a circumcised penis,

JaneDoe12 profile image
JaneDoe12 in reply to Circedandlovingit

From what I read it helps the penis smoothly enter in and out of the vagina helping both the women and the man. And is it true your penis drys out being circumcised? I was asking my friends if they had moisture problems and they said quite usually they were dry and occasionally really dry out.

Circedandlovingit profile image
Circedandlovingit in reply to JaneDoe12

You can have the circumcision done loosely, if that is a concern, Mine was done high and loose, so there is a of play, and I can still masturbate the same way by rubbing the left over foreskin on the glans. Most women say they can't feel the difference.

JaneDoe12 profile image
JaneDoe12 in reply to Circedandlovingit

Wow yeah a "loosely" done circumcision doesn't sound to bad at all. I know from what I can do to my self and from what I've seen online hand jobs look alot easier for people with foreskin and to be honest looks more pleasurable, dosent it? Foreskin seems to make it a much more smooth experience. Without it, it looks like your just yanking the dinky up and down crazily unless using lube.

If the loose circumcision keeps some of the skin I think you keep that feature the foreskin gives right? Do they touch the frenelum at all with a loose cut? And would it have less scaring ?

Circedandlovingit profile image
Circedandlovingit in reply to JaneDoe12

The style is a personal preference, and you can always have more skin removed later. I have most of the inner foreskin, and frenulum left, allowing them to make contact. It's now been seven months and looking better each day. The cut is high up the shaft, away from the glans. The area where the skin was sutured together has been blending in nicely since I had the procedure done. You might be worrying too much about the scar, which will clear up over time with a good surgeon. Pay no attention to the intactivists here, unless you enjoy horror stories. Little of it is true, and they are not qualified to be giving medical advice. Your GP is the place to start.

It's good seeing the intactivists exposed for what they are!

JaneDoe12 profile image
JaneDoe12 in reply to misterhyde

Whats an intactivists? If its people promoting keeping foreskin whats so bad about that? If you have no medical problems why remove foreskin? Its like a tree removing a healthy limb, or that's how I look at it. Sensation being deleted, when its all we have, our body. Opinion.

Circedandlovingit profile image
Circedandlovingit in reply to JaneDoe12

Circumcision improves things for many men. The area below the frenulun has become very erogenous since my circumcision. Frenulums don't stretch, they just become sore.

Circedandlovingit profile image
Circedandlovingit in reply to JaneDoe12

Look for information that is science based. it might always be perfect, because circumcision is controversial. Be careful though, of fanatical groups who are out on a mission. I believe science is more on the side of circumcision, at least for medical reasons.

QuentinW profile image
QuentinW in reply to Circedandlovingit

Circumcision is still more biased towards those that are stuck in the ways of "that's how it's always been done", unless you have a medical issue that is giving you serious complications, you are amputating a part of your body for no reason by getting circumcised. Unless you actually want to be circumcised, then one should visit other alternatives before cutting something off, since you can't get it back once it's gone.

in reply to JaneDoe12

My circumcision is very tight but I have no problems with dryness.

That site is a joke. It looks to run by some with intactivist without any medical training or background. No science, just a of nonsense.

JaneDoe12 profile image

The site seems no different from this one.. People asking questions about foreskin and other things and others responding about it. I don't think their are much medical training people on here, and i'm sure the folks do mention sources just like on here..

Circedandlovingit profile image
Circedandlovingit in reply to JaneDoe12

There are some sites run by real doctors with medical training. Many of the anti-circumcision ones are not. You want to look at these. This one is excellent, and gives a run down of who the major anti-circumcision intactavists are.

QuentinW profile image
QuentinW in reply to misterhyde

Sorry, but intactivist? You know why Circumcision became such a big thing in the US right?

"One of the leading advocates of circumcision was John Harvey Kellogg. He advocated the consumption of Kellogg's corn flakes to prevent masturbation, and he believed that circumcision would be an effective way to eliminate masturbation in males. "

The only legitimate reason to be circumcised is due to heath issues that cannot be corrected by other means. Phimosis is typically one that urologists will jump all over and jump and scream circumcision over. I had a moderately severe problem with Phimosis growing up, and I was actually able to correct it 100%, including a tighter than usual frenulum by doing regular daily stretching of it.

If you want to get circumcised then so be it, although jumping to that conclusion for everyone isn't right. There are no "medical" benefits to being circumcised either. You lose a lot of the sensation that one has within the foreskin, and anyone that claims that being cut is cleaner, just needs to learn that just like any other body part, you have to pull your foreskin back to clean when you shower, that's all there is to it.

JaneDoe12 profile image
JaneDoe12 in reply to QuentinW

Apparently circumcision in the United States makes up to around 500 million plus annually so I would imagine they would try and make up as much reasoning to circumcise as possible to keep that money coming.. They also say circumcision helps prevent stds, but in the US stds are extremely high compared to Europe where people usually aren't circumcised.. I think its all a bunch of bullshit to make money and reduce pleasure for masturbation.

QuentinW profile image
QuentinW in reply to JaneDoe12

I agree 100%. Especially about the "STD prevention" it's just their way of using key words to get peoples attention, "It helps prevent STDs" "Oh! Sign me up then!"

It really is unfortunate that it's pushed upon so many parents when their children are born too, foreskin really shouldn't have to be removed unless it's an extreme case that can't be corrected otherwise, as it really does bring extra pleasure and sensation compared to being circumcised. I'm so glad that I turned down the Circumcision recommendation from 2 different urologists I saw about my Phimosis, and wish I could go back to show them what some time and patience allowed me to accomplish in correcting it myself.

You're right though, it's all about the money to them, and quick in/out fixes.

Stretching is possible though it does take patience and time.

Gently pulling back and holding for a minute or two each time you bathe or shower, increasing the amount of time and frequency.

Cortisone creams may also help though you may have to consult Doc for this. Which you should do anyway if in pain or real discomfort.

Being able to pull back is not essential, you can have a perfectly good sex life with out.

I am guessing you are still quite young so do not rush into anything.

Look at and try different options.

Good luck

I had an identical problem with my frenulum and it gave me discomfort when having sex, so much so that it wrecked my sex life - I’d find excuses or reasons to not have sex. Being able to retract from an early age I had assumed everything was normal.

My GP referred me and the urologist fixed it for me. I only needed two stitches and it was pain free (apart from the ’local’ for a few seconds). Cosmetically it looks like I never had one. It did the trick.

As a pre-teen, I was diagnosed with phimosis and a short and tight frenulum which pulled my glans down and back. The doctor prescribed daily stretching exercises or choose to have my foreskin circumcised. I choose exercises. It worked. email aldenpenney@yahoo.com

At1012 profile image

Try stretching at the tip of foreskin away from your body. I have heard that this could over time lengthen the frenulum. Just do it after every time urinate and over time it may lengthen.

At1012 profile image
At1012

Also specifically try stretching the foreskin away from your body at the underside of your foreskin. There is something called a frenuloplasty, which doesn’t remove the frenulum. It just lengthens it. It’s a surgical procedure, but try the stretching first and see if that helps you.

QuentinW profile image

I too can attest that I actually had a tight frenulum as well as phimosis (Tight foreskin that could not be properly retracted), although with persistant and several times daily stretching, over the course of about 6-10 months I was able to completely correct the phimosis, and have considerably relaxed my frenulum as well.

Keep at the stretching practices daily, pulling your foreskin out and away for 2-3 minutes each time you have use the washroom, and that should help in lessening the tightness. You can also inquire with your doctor about getting a corticosteroid cream to assist a little too, although that works more for stretching the Foreskin than the Frenulum.
