I was just worried as I cannot fully pull my foreskin over the head just over the tip really. I can clean away little flakes of smegma near the tip but can't get the foreskin all the way over the head - its fully detatched from the head but is too tight near the tip. I was hoping to get some advice and to check if this is a problem?

This is called Phimosis. There are prescribed creams along with exercises to help get it all the way back. If not, then you'll need to get circumcised. I was circumcised about 4 months ago due to this and struggled with it for many years and now I cant be happier that I dont have to deal with it anymore. This can cause you problems if not taken care of. However, getting circumcised as an adult can be tough so make sure you do your research on it, ask lots of questions and prepare yourself mentally. The best advice I can give you is find a solution to it asap.
Well it takes 6 months to 1 year to fully recover. You cannot have sex or masturbate for 6 weeks or more or until cleared by your doctor. You will have your penis wrapped up in gauze for a couple of weeks. You will need to rest and not walk around too much for at least the first week to avoid stitches or wound opening up. You will have several stitches all around your penis. You'll have lots of swelling. Some of us more than others and it takes weeks to go down. The stitches dissolve on their own but take 2 to 3 weeks for them to start falling off. Since your penis head will be exposed all the time, you'll have lots of sensitivity for a while. Just the underwears rubbing feels very weird. Doesnt hurt, it just feels real sensitive. Make sure you ask you doctor about what kind of circumcision he can give you. Theres a high cut, a low cut etc. Also some people have their frenelum removed so ask about that too. He will explain what that is and what it does. It's the doctors decision whether that's needed to be removed or not. Research on the doctor and make sure that he has good reviews on his work.
Hi Man, it sounds like you have phimosis are you able to retract when you are flaccid or is that impossible as well. My advice would be to go to your doctor and seek advice and have it checked in case there is any underlying cause they may prescribe some steroid cream to help with stretching exercises but quite often the stretching doesn't work and you would need a circumcision then. It is important that you are able to clean underneath your foreskin so one way or the other you should have it sorted.
