peri menopause and memory loss?
Good morning yes that's definitely a symptom of peri and so frustrating. I lose what I'm saying mid sentence too. My memory is shocking. Please feel free to ask anything. Sending you a big hug too 🤗❤️
Yes mine is the same and I am on HRT, some days are better than others, I find if i' busy my memory is worse.
Yes me and I’m 42, it’s horrible 🤮having all of these symptoms x
Sorry to hear you're struggling with this, it's such a debilitating symptom. Just to say that whilst this can be a symptom of perimenopause, it can also be a symptom of many other things. My feeling (and experience) is that 'menopause' is a useful diagnosis for medics, which makes us go away, gratefully clutching our HRT prescriptions. Unfortunately it means that we are rarely given proper support into ensuring proper exploration of other possible causes, including vitamin and nutrition levels. My advice would be to seek proper blood tests, including vitamin d, iron/ferritin, B12 and folate. Also thyroid. Don't be fobbed off by being told the results are 'in range' - get a proper print out with the numbers. There is lots of support on HU regarding interpreting results, particularly The Pernicious Anaemia society and Thyroid UK forms.
As an example I was told 'depression and menopause' yet have solved most of my extensive symptoms through proper vitamin supplementation and gut health. Turns out my B12, D and ferritin levels had been bumping along the bottom of the range for years. Yes, menopause played a part, but HRT was only a small part of the solution.
Sorry for war and peace, but hopefully I've given you a bit of reassurance and a way forward. 😊
me too!!!!!!
