I'm taking everol 50 patches and medroxyprogesterone tablets. It's the one combination I'm able to tolerate that helps stop my mid cycle bleeding and my issues with other progesterone types sending me crazy.
I upped my patch to 75 to try and get rid of the last of my symptoms, but it made everything so much worse, so I reduced back to 50 after a month.
It did bring my period forward and I bled consistently for 2 weeks. So now I'm out of sync and not taking my progesterone on day 15. Does this matter? I don't want to start bleeding mid cycle again. I appreciate that our periods can be unpredictable so not ideal to keep changing when you take the progesterone, but will it effect my mid cycle bleeding if it's not taken mid cycle day 15?

I had this with urtogestan. Stopped taking it and 3 months later I’m back to a single bleed. I don’t think taking progesterone suits me. I was never bvery good on the pill when I was using birth control.
Had to stop oestrogen too of course which is sad but better than the situation before. I’ve now got Ovestin vaginal oestrogen low dose which you can have unapposed which makes me more comfortable.
I also wasn't good on the contraceptive pill apart from one I discovered late in life that they made me stop when I turned 40. Utrogestan made me very unwell, suicidal. Combined patches have been the absolute best mentally, but I just bleed too much, all of the time.
That’s very interesting 🤨 how many months have they told you to expect things to ‘settle’?
I did 3 months and no change. Returned to normal (after being on nothing except the Ovestin cream) took 4 months and upping my thyroid meds.
have you had your ferritin tested? I have to supplement due to heavy bleeds and levels were really low, showing iron deficiency without anaemia IDWA. That’s when iron is normal and ferritin is low or below range. I recommend 3 Arrows Simply Heme as all the others are iron based and have absorption issues for me. 🌱
I've been on different variations for the last 2 years, have given them all a good go. They say 3-6 months is a good trial. But if the progesterone part doesn't work, I'm running out of options. This is my last option now, so am hoping this works better. So far, not too bad, 3 months in.
My ferritin and another iron test, I can't remember which one, has been incredibly low, I've been supplementing the last 2 years, it's finally creeping up, although still on the lower side.
The progesterone I take in the afternoon, so doesn't interfere with my thyroid meds at night. Previously I felt like I was dying as it really effected my tsh..
