Hello, I have had 9 months of gastric upset resulting in A&E admission a few times this year already. It wasn't my gallbladder as I don't have one and neither was it connected to bile reflux.
I'd been taking Lansoprazole for acid reflux and gastritis only to be told by the A&E doctor that my bloods showed no inflammation. I duly stopped taking them and now only take Gavisvon Dual Action or antacid liquid.
I find that I get constipated through the merry dance of oestrogen and progesterone fluctuations. I can't take HRT as I'm progesterone intolerant. I find that a teaspoon of psyllium husk in water before bed works a treat the next day to get me going. Plenty of water and a mid fibre diet helps too.
The motility of the gut slows in perimenopause and menopause causing potential heartburn, indigestion, diarrhea, constipation, acid reflux, food intolerance, palpitations, sinus pain and nausea.
Lenzetto oestrogen spray is listed with stomach upset as one side effect. This product may not suit you therefore 2 sprays might be giving you too much of the hormone.
Its oestrogen called lenzotto
I have suffered from bad mittelsmerz (apparently there is no word in English for ovulation pain!) about a week before my periods since my mid thirties, and quite bad period pain. I'm 46 now and am on Femoston 10 tablets for HRT. My cycle is weirdly delayed at the moment. I have my period, which only lasts a couple of days and is very mucous-y, which is weird. Then I have about a week pain free, before the ovulation pain starts again, in bursts for about a week. Then period pains, but nothing, and the actual period doesn't start until several days afterwards. Often, I'll wake up feeling fine, but by the time I'm in the shower, cramping pains start and I can actually see my abdomen bloating up. I've been to my GP many times to talk about the pain caused by my cycle and not really been taken seriously. Is this all within the realms of normal, or should I insist on being checked out further?
