Slow periods ?

Peanutbutterplease profile image

I am early 40s . My periods have been horrendous throughout my teens twenties then they finally started to act normal .. normal as in monthly and not so heavy. Thanks to starting the pill to help regulate me . The pill never stopped it but lightened it . Well now last year or so . I noticed my cycle is longer sometimes hitting 38 or more days . Bleed for 7 however it isn't 7 full days of a glow or heavy flow more so 3 days of a normal type flow then the other days seems to be very slow or discharge type period but is still there. I completely missed the whole of December and finally came "on Mid jan . However it is what I call a slow period first week was discharge type "bleeding not a flow but then suddenly there . But I noticed it hasn't really stopped yet .. kind of like a watery pink when I go toilet no flow all day nothing then a day with nothing then oh here's a little discharge I've never experienced this where it hasn't gone I've experienced these "slow type periods before I'd say the last year or so I have thought about pre-menipause but not given much thought about it . Just want to know if anyone else experienced this kind of thing maybe in the "change.

It’s possible you could be experiencing Perimenopause but….you’d get reliable advice re your own personal situation by speaking to your GP.

Cerelle

I would say the pill is causing these issues and you should be aware of a small cancer risk with Cerelle

Natural progesterone would be much safer
