Estraderm patches or Oestrogel?

I have been using Oestrogel for the last 5 months or so but I have switched to Estraderm MX75 patches as I wasn't noticing any cognitive improvement with the Oestrogel. Does anyone know the difference between patches and Oestrogel? Do patches provide a steadier flow of oestrogen than the gel? The gel provides 750 micrograms per pump while the patch provides 75 micrograms in 24 hours. I was using 2 pumps, one in the morning and one in the evening. That was amounting to 1500 micrograms compared to 75 from the patch??? How is that even possible??? It sounds like the patch provides a lot lot less... and is Estraderm BODY IDENTICAL also like Oestrogel??? Many thanks for any help with this please...
