Small update

Ryan got an ultrasound done today of his bladder and I think his kidneys, (not sure if they did it or not) not a lot of information was given. But we figured out why he’s having some bowel and urine issues.. he has a very large mass almost resting on his bladder. Which at this moment we aren’t sure if it’s new or old and switched positions or shifted. We knew he had a large mass that was nodules sticking together. Measured at an unfortunate impressive 8 x 5.6cm. So we aren’t sure yet completely what the deal is because ultrasounds only show so much. So a PET/CT has to be done.. we are attempting to stay hopeful.. that maybe it was an existing mass that has moved and not a whole new one. That would mean Keytruda is not doing what we hoped. His stomach pain has been ALOT less, and this new bladder pain is rather new. But it happened at the same time. Stomach pain subsided and moved to bladder pain. That’s why I am hoping it maybe just shifted and is resting in a different place. All of his cancer has been hanging out IN the abdomen and hadn’t really infiltrated organs. The liver has 1 lesion but other than that it has stuck to his abdomen lining. (Mesentery)

We will see tomorrow when the oncologist will schedule the scans and I’ll update more when we know really what’s going on..

Thank you for the update. Wish you strength and a lot of patience while waiting for scans and results. Hope they can keep his pain under control. How is his state of mind? And how are you?

So sorry, Kelly. If Keytruda is not working, ask the oncologist what other options are available at this point in in his treatment, and what does he recommend? There are some new options out there, but I don’t know the particulars about eligibility.
