I suffer mdd (and anxiety, intertwined) and no antidepressants work. I’ve tried almost everything, including ect twice. Looking for what has worked for others. I had been on Adderall for at least 5-6 years. It worked. My doc even said I needed it. Then a corporation bought the hospital system she works for and now she won’t prescribe. I’m suffering for no reason, knowing that worked.

Hi Felixmom,

How frustrating! Is it possible to get another doctor? Noone deserves to suffer. I can't imagine knowing what works for relief and being denied that. I too have treatment resistant MDD. I'm trying TMS but haven't completed the treatment yet.

Hello FelixmomI too have mdd. Also no ssri ever made any improvement - but I was diagnosed with hypocordisolism, so most meds work opposite for me (SI)

I hope you find a path for relief. I am looking for an EMDR person.

I hope you are able to get back what was helping. For me what helped was i spent time with myself and tried to understand who i am. I did some exercises to identify my values and it turned out i had been living in many ways that were against my own values and it was contributing to my negatity. Then i got a job that was in line with my values and i faced some fears as far as forcing myself to network and the success has boosted my mood so much i dont even need antidepressants anymore
