Help with work

I got a new job. Hours are 2:30 to 11. The work is easy. I don't hate the people. But getting up out of bed is a struggle. I want to stay at the company for a while but working 40hrs/ 5days/ for the rest of my life puts me in a depressed state. I've asked my employer for less hours to try and be able to disconnect from work but they're on the fence about it. I hate this feeling and I just want to be able to do my job without feeling like I'm trapped. What should I do?

if you only want to work part time, get a part time job. Aren’t most full time jobs still 40 hours a week?
