Went for a 14k run this afternoon, first run in nearly 2 weeks after work issue's and being away but it was really tough and I'm doubting I can get fit enough for the marathon now. The weather was nice at first but the heaven's opened at the half way point and my NRC app didn't work properly so really not a happy bunny after today π π π π

A tough run is always going to shake confidence. They come along every so often, but invariably the next run is better. I wouldn't set too much store by this one run.14k is a long way short of a marathon though, and that's another issue. Do you have a plan to follow? With just 5 weeks to go I'd say that was essential, even if you intend to run/walk it.
You want to enjoy the day, and to do that you need to, get some longer distance under your belt in the next three weeks in order to do that. You need also to be mindful of your foot problem and not push further than it will allow.
It's a big ask now and focus and consistency will be key. Sending positive wishes your way π
