FRIDAY POM-POMS ALERT 🥳🎽📣

After the excitement of last weekend’s HU event, the pompoms have had a little rest but they’re needed again for some fantastic races, all taking place on Sunday, and one taking place in a different country 🌍

⭐️ We need lots of bells and cheers for our first racer. IRunning will be taking on his first HM and also his first ever race, the BRIGHTON HM! How special and exciting is that? Brighton has a reputation for being the “happiest Half in the UK” and has a fantastic route with loads of atmosphere, so we are sure you’ll have a brilliant time IR. We’re cheering you on along the way and look forward to reading all about it afterwards 🥳

⭐️ Next up, we have a BIG race overseas! 💪 00marks will be joining 38,000 others (🙀) at the TOKYO MARATHON no less. He’s running it for the Japan Cancer Society and is chasing six stars for the Marathon majors, so we wish him loads of luck and happy running on the day. We hope the legs will allow a little sightseeing afterwards in this great city🤞Apparently, Tokyo is the hardest of the majors to get in to, so well done 00marks for even getting to the start line 👏

⭐️ Back to the UK now and we’re heading to Wales where we will find Cowladyrunning running the NEWPORT HM for the second time. The route showcases iconic landmarks and meanders along the River Usk and through the city centre. Runners will also run through the historic village of Caerleon where many believe could have been the site of King Arthur’s Camelot. Sounds idyllic.

⭐️ Finally, I have the CHIPPENHAM SPRING 10 MILE to look forward to. A single loop, flat and taking in the country roads around the town. It’s rumoured to be one of the fastest 10 mile routes in the South West, so we’ll see how that works out on the day!

Of course I'd hope that there's appropriate help if someone needs it.

However I personally wouldn't wish anyone Bon Secours. I live in a predominantly Roman Catholic area where Bon Secours has specific connotations of medical and spiritual aid associated with the Virgin Mary.

Bon courage is a different kettle of fish ; this morning I said it to a neighbour whose internet's gone AWOL!
