Itβs time to put down that mince pie and get the pompoms out from under the Christmas duvet for our only fabulous VRB this Sunday.
Our speedy superstar, RunBrianRun , will be heading to the Sutcliffe Park Sports Centre in London on Sunday to run his speediest best in two lots of 60m races. Brian has never run on this track before so we wish him all the luck in the world. According to the website, βfirst round races are seeded according to your predicted time, with the second round re-seeded based on actual time.β
Brian, we are all waving pompoms and wishing you wings for feet πββοΈ Good luck, Bon Courage and enjoy it all ππͺπ€
Anyone else with a race before the year ends? If so tell us here.
A new year starts very soon and, no doubt, our pompoms will be in full flow once again. But before this year ends, the admins would like to say a huge THANK YOU for all your pompom waving and support during the year. It means a lot to every racer and makes a big difference on race day. You are all amazing!!! βοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈ

Good luck Brian! Your competitors will have had sleepless nights thinking β oh no Brian againβ¦β¦β Have a great day and celebrate in style, as only you know how; preferably after your runs π
Go go go Mr Speedy! Leave them for dust! Pom poms being shaken wildly here in foggy North Somerset. Thereβs no wind assistance, so itβs all on me! ππππππ
Good luck RunBrianRun ! And thank you to the three of you and everyone else on the forum for the advice and support this year, Iβve managed to achieve a lot this year with my running with your help. Happy new year! Iβll be in amongst the Pom Poms In 2025 with my first races π€
Amazing! Thank you IP and fellow VRBs for your support and pompoms. π₯³π
My sons, partners and my grandson have said theyβll be coming to watch me race too which will be the first time theyβve watched me other than on live stream! How exciting. π
Talking of which, this event will also be live streamed here, if you want to check in and see how Iβm getting on.
The first round of 60m sprints isnβt scheduled to start until 2:30, so itβs likely Iβll be one of the last races of that sequences as the youngsters naturally are much quicker and their races go off first. Second round starts at 5 so itβll be the same sort of thing again but there will be drop outs so fewer races will be run.
Thank you to you, IP and all the admin team for your hard work and dedication to this forum. Itβs very much appreciated and really does make a difference to so many of us out here.
