Morning run

Morning all, up bright and early for a longer run this morning after a week of 4 5k runs. Decided on a 10k and ran it fairly slowly while listening to a book.

61 mins total.

Was dark out and quite chilly but enjoyed most of the run, last couple of km felt quite tough but I'm glad to have got another 10k under my belt.

Enjoy your Sunday!

Well done Jericho 2332. A 61 minute 10k is not slow, but if this is you just getting back into your running you will be used to faster paces! We are about to hit a week of temperatures dipping into the sub zero range up here, so it will be wrap up warm and keep it very steady pace wise. May even see 🌨️

Congrats mate, well done on getting out there and another 10k under your belt. And that is not slow in the slightest!!

I had to join this community just to like your post!! You're moving up the world 🀣

My cold is proving tricky to shake so I may rest up a few more days before my next run.

Thank you! Pace is relative so a little slow for me, 55 my fastest and 57-58 is my more regular pace. Just took it a little easier this morning.

It's a fantastic pace

Nice one! That's a decent pace. There is a principle that clearly says as you increase distance, slower is better, giving you more time on your feet; it's still tiring, it's still pushing you and getting you fitter. Don't knock it, celebrate it 😊
