Second 10k during the half term holiday. First one was the HUSpring 10k Challenge and last Saturday I ran another to celebrate because it was 8 years ago on 31 May 2016 that I ran my first ever 10k!! I was amazed because I never thought I would manage 5k when I started Couch to 5k in January 2016. I enjoyed the second run, although the last 2k was a bit of a struggle. Beautiful weather which meant an early start, so we didnβt get too hot! I was a little worried about my knee because after the HU 10k it really hurt, and seized up a bit, tendons I think. On this run it ached a little but it was ok afterwards. π Hoping to manage a few more 10kβs in June and as my fitness improves hopefully it will feel a little easier π
Couldnβt resist taking a photo of these beautiful and colourful flowers π

Wow. He's looking good. I had my little old dog put to sleep this week at the age of 15+ . I never ran with her. As a scruffy little terrier she was more of a sprinter !
Happy Runniversary Sue π I wouldn't have been able to resist a photo of those flowers either.2 x 10k on 2 weekends, that's great running πππ
Happy 8 year anniversary skysue. Great to see the faithful squiggy in the frame too. 10k is my βcomebackβ distance; I feel that niggles have just about admitted defeat when I get there. You are nicely set up for a running summer; running with a smile again.π
I have managed to pick up a bit of pace again over the last four weeks or so. Mixture of long runs, hill runs and intervals; usual mix in other words, with a bit of input from Coach Bennett on running more quickly without increasing effort. I am sure you will build it up, without overdoing itβ¦β¦and I am equally sure that Mr skysue is a gentleman and will run alongside you anyway. π
I am definitely not running up any Munros π€£ Occasionally have a jog on the way down if the tracks are not too rough but a bit hard work with walking boots and a back pack!! π€£ π₯Ύ π
