Slowed down a lot on the way back - a bit heavy legged from the 5k mark - but still took nearly three minutes off my 10k PB. 66'53" - I've only run one 10k race before (69'40") but in training runs I've never been under 75' for 10k.

Congratulations to you Arthur on completing the Buchlyvie 10K and a PB time of 66.53. Well done, πππΎ
It is amazing that you have not ran sub 75 minutes in training but managed that time today. I see they gave you a medal and a mug, that is very good
I have ran 4/10Ks,all around 73 minutes,
PB being 69.23, however, as I have not ran any since November I am going to do the Juju Magic10 starting next Friday, once again congratulations for your run today.
Fabulous! Congratulations on a massive PB. Race magic is an amazing thing isn't it! Nice goodies too ππππ
Well done on your run and especially your new PB. That's a great improvement, so no wonder you felt a bit heavy legged during the second half of the race! Bling and a mug to celebrate too. - sounds like a good result to me!
Congratulations Arthur, an excellent time. I like the bling and useful mug too.
Congratulations on you time and your lovely looking blingππππ
Thats a great improvement! Well done to you πͺπ I love that bling, so shiny π
Yay! Well done πͺπππββοΈπ
Congratulations!!!
Well done Arthur; amazing how being in a race drags that extra bit out of us; good time πππππ
Well yes, but equally, we know we're not supposed to go flat out in training (well not often). Do you ever use Strava effort scores? My effort score for a 10k race is around TREBLE my score for a 10k training run, which is about 10% slower.
Havenβt used strava at all. I know there is a link in garmin but it remains unopened. I donβt run with earphones either; probably a bit of a dinosaur!! As it happens I ended up running a hard 10k on a slightly tacky surface. I was pleased to get within a minute of my Pb. Fluke though; I set out to do a longer run, did the first 8k way too fast so ran a faster 2k to finish it off! Good training for my 10k at the end of May... but bad pace management !
I tend not to run with earphones either, mainly for safety reasons as I like to hear my surroundings. I recently got some bone conductor ones though, which allow me to hear whatever I'm listening to but without blocking out traffic etc. That's because I've entered my first half marathon and I think as I build up to longer runs I'll maybe want to listen to audiobooks or music. I'm something of an extreme introvert so do like my own company on a run but nevertheless, three hours is a long time not to hear another voice!
πππΌβοΈ Congratulations. Really well done on the time! πππ»ββοΈπ
Congratulations! Well done ππΌ
