I haven't been running well for a few months now.. started with a foot injury .. that healed and I got back to a few weeks regular running and a couple of 10Ks ,then family issues.. which had me up and down the road to Glasgow, while I got a few runs in I missed all my strength training days, this had a huge impact on my running... Then I stubbed my baby toe.. another couple of weeks off..worked on my strength training..
But then sadly my Sister passed away suddenly from a heart attack a week passed on Monday π
I've been in Glasgow since with family π
Thismornin I woke to a lovely message from Frenc, we started our running journey at the same time more than two years ago...
And it's been a pleasure to share in our ups and downs throughout the years, as with many here... ππββοΈπ
Just wanted to say thank you all.. π
I feel like a runner now and know I'll get back... Life throws us some tough challenges..
But us runner's are made of tougher stuff πͺ
To anyone else out there going through a difficult time..hang on in there.. stay positive..and we'll get there πβ€οΈ

So sorry to hear about your sister, very sad, i hope you can get back to some running, as i know how it helped me, having lost alot of close family. π
Iβm so sorry to read about your sister sparky. That is tough.
But running can help so much and of course, youβre amongst your running pals here. Youβll get out when you feel like it, a gentle jogette when the time is right.
You are more than welcome Sparky, it was lovely to hear from you and I am just so sorry to hear about your sister. Iβm sure weβll be sharing running tales again very soon, in the meantime, really take care if yourself π€π€π€.
So sorry to hear about your loss sparky66 . It is amazing how friendships form on this running , often with people youβll never meet. But the support and encouragement is exceptional compared to the other βsocialβ media sites.
I hope that running will give you the opportunity to have some you time .
