So my doctor now thinks I do indeed have COPD. She said my symptoms of morning coughing up phlegm seem to suggest the condition. I’m being sent back to the hospital for more tests.
Meanwhile I’m now in training for a 5K park run in Blackpool in a couple of weeks. Bearing in mind when training for 10K and Half Marathons I keep the pace ultra slow, I tried stepping it up yesterday. It’s only 37 minutes but it’s a step in the right direction towards running a decent time. I think realistically I’m not going to run any faster than 35 minutes but I have run 28:30 before, albeit 6 or 7 years ago.
It’s fun to inject a bit of pace finally.

Good luck with the medical investigations DL - it will be good to get on the right track. Enjoy playing with your pace too, sounds like a lot of fun to be had there 😊
