I can now proudly say I am a marathon runner. That long 16 weeks of running in the cold and dark all paid off. I completed the course in 3.53.34, I'm so pleased to get my goal under 4hrs. The last 4 miles were tough but the crowds were amazing.

I Changed the days around a little to fit into my week so for me rest days were Wednesday and Fridays.
I added them to my phone calendar so every day it reminded me what the plan was, It helped me to stick to going out even when I didn't want to. I obviously missed some sessions but mostly stuck to it. I also live near the Bristol to Bath Cycle track so that was great for the long runs.
Hi and welcome to this forum. Congratulations!!! That's a fabulous time for your first marathon. I see roseabi has already awarded you your marathon badge to go with that lovely piece of bling you picked up in Brighton 🏅
