Ha, it didn't take 5 hours, it didn't even take 1 hour, congratulations Beccym on completing the Brighton Marathon 10k in a time of 00.57.30, well done. 😊

Marathon 10K, that's a strange name for a 10K, what next, a marathon 5K, lol, some people who have ran a 5K think that that have ran a marathon. 😊 🏃 😉

That is such a great time! Congrats! A full marathon is such a huge training commitment. I am in awe of all those who can do it. If it is something you want to do though, I'm sure you'll figure out a way to make the time.

Yes, I know that is my dilema. Half's are doable training wise. And I always think after them could I do double that?

I'm doing my first marathon in October and it will probably take me around 5hours too. You've thought you might so you probably will lol! Try a half and see? You might be surprised with your pace though.... a sub 1hour 10k is pretty quick so if you can do a half in 2hours 15 you could do the full in less than 5hours.

For me I'm following the training plan for sub 5 hours but it's also about doing it and acheiving it safely.

Well done on your 10k and good luck for the next steps. 😊

Thank you, have done Brighton half 3 times. Doing run Gatwick in May, Great South in Oct. But the training commitment is what worries me.

My half time this year was 2.14.34 and Bright10 1hr 34.

I am most comfortable at around 10 miles to be honest.
