Lol I lent part of my regular Sunday route to the Winchester HM today, so in order to avoid it, I did a steady 10k. It was really weird in that I had absolutely no niggles to speak of whatsoever! This is very unusual in that I tend to feel something somewhere, such as an achy foot or this and that. But nothing! Hurrah π.
I made the mistake of not using an NRC guided run, and I hadnβt realised how much I enjoy having a voice there. It sounds awful but without that voice, I got a bit bored which isnβt like me at all. So Coach B will definitely be on board again next time.
Next weekend Iβll try to up the distance again - I didnβt feel confident enough to enter the HM here because itβs pretty hilly, but Iβm def going to put my name down for it next year.
I hope everyone is having a great day πππ.

I recognised some of your post Frenc - needing a voice for encouragement and being vigilant about niggles - and the surprise if they arenβt there. So a smile of recognition from me coming your way today and as always brilliantly well done!
Ah thank you Mittymoo! Yes, isnβt it odd when youβre half way through a run and you suddenly realise nothing aches! If only we could bottle it for future use π.
I always equate it to not having the "kids" along for the ride (ie are we there yet/ need a wee/ feel sick/wanna snack/ feet hurt/ back hurts/ tummy hurts/headache yada, yada, yada!) π€£π€£
Ah thank you so much! It went past where I live, and I think what inspired me was seeing all ages, abilities. shapes, and sizes. So next year it is! πππ
