Ah distance or time, distance or time was going round in my head this morning! I plumped for time on the NRC - now it may be just me, but I have incredibly selective hearing when it comes to Coach B. I’m really good at slowing down when he tells me too, but not so good when he tells me to speed up!
One excuse not to speed up is I did quite a nasty hill mid run, not done it for ages, and it was slow down or fall down, but I’m really pleased I made the effort. It’s officially my friend again 😊. One part of the run that really made me laugh is he has you say BONKERS out loud as you’re running. As you can imagine, running down the road shouting bonkers got me a few funny looks 🤣
It was fairly cool and bright which was lovely. The last 10 mins were HARD - my head wasn’t completely in it today, thinking about various things, and I like to run in as vacant a mind state as possible 😆, usually not too difficult. Bit like meditation I guess.
BUT I am super pleased I did it. Have a smashing day everyone! 🤩🤩🤩

Great Frenc 👏👏👏Tough and bonkers maybe, but you'll be so chuffed with that run!!!
Is this your first longer run since your HM?
I love when something makes you laugh or sing out loud while running..it's usually followed by a bit of a running high.. (definitely a lot to be said about the power of the mind)
Hello Soarky! Yes, the first longer run since the HM last weekend. Weird but it felt harder, my head was a bit all over the place going into it proving it’s just as much about the mind as the body! But I am well pleased I got up that hill! I have today off work as worked yesterday, so been reading and watched a really good series about Anne Boleyn on iPlayer. And planning the next run of course. Well, sort of 😆. Runs on work days involve flinging myself out of bed and hoping my kit’s not on back to front and my shoes are on the right foot. Take care! 🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️
