So after an X-ray confirmed no fractures, and I rested for another 3 days with the swelling eventually starting to go down, I couldn’t resist joining the club’s summer solstice run last night since I’d already paid for a T-shirt which I’d added my name too on the back so I couldn’t sell it on 🤣
My ankle started to niggle a tiny bit after 6 miles but there was nowhere to stop until the 14.5 mile mark 😬🤣 Anyway it doesn’t seem any worse today and I’ll shall rest again till Wednesday now. There’s just a twinge on my outer ankle bone when I turn my foot in, which is never naturally so it’s no problem really. Hopefully it’ll just get better now. Don’t tell me off 😬🤣

Two hours' detention, which you are to spend writing by hand "I must not do Summer Solstice runs on a dodgy ankle." You may not tie several pens together to do the lines faster, and I expect correct spelling and neat handwriting.
(This is the sort of punishment meted out by some schools over here...)
