I played football for an hour today instead of running the 28 minute fartlek on the NRC plan. Everybody was absolutely shattered at the end of the match. I’m sure the effort expended was appropriate to the hard effort the fartlek would have demanded but not continuous running. Not sure whether to now skip the fartlek and move on to the 5K run or whether to still do the fartlek before moving on. What do people think?

Well I wouldn’t do two similar things in a row. You’ve just done interval type work in your match so I’d say you need to do a steady run now.
That’s what I was thinking. I think I’ll do my 5K on Tuesday. Thank you.
Being a silly old sausage I managed to NOT have any of my runs registered against my Nike plan ☺️☺️☺️☺️
I re-ran them this morning 😁😁😁🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️ I’ve not dared to compare the two sets of stats 🙈
