I know I cannot travel to France right now, but have been curious about the Harmonie Mutuelle Semi de Paris (half). I have a bad knee and wondered if it is terribly hilly, which is murder on my knee when going uphill.

Click on the 'Profile' tab - definitely not very hilly!
While I've never run it I googled and as roseabi says, it's not hilly.
The race seems to get good reviews, and would probably be fabulous if you want to spend a weekend in Paris and run past lots of its key attractions with 40,000 other runners. I have to say that's not my cup of tea at all - I'll stick to my solo runs in the countryside!
Thanks. I’ve never run a half and have only done one lightly attended race in my life. Have to agree that 40K may be a bit overwhelming after so much solo time, but I will be so slow, 39k+ will be well in front of me!! I’m thinking this will be my first and my last. Docs seem to want me to stop running so I thought I’d go out with a bang and do it up right for a destination run.
Ah yes, in that case I can see why a destination run would be tempting. Really hope you don't have to stop running though.
Ironically, although I live in France, if I wanted to do a capital city event it'd almost certainly be easier and quicker for me to get to London than Paris! I don't know where you're based or whether you're a French speaker or not, but if you decide to go ahead, do let me know if I can help with anything 😀
I’m based in the US in Annapolis, Maryland. We had our flight and accommodations cancelled last year to Paris due to COVID and September 2021 is the latest I can schedule to use my vouchers. London sounds fun. Actually, anywhere sounds fun right now!! Thanks for your offer to assist! Not sure we will even make it out of Maryland but here’s hoping for the best!
