First Half Marathon!

Hi all,

I’ve done it. 13.1 miles in 2hrs 38 mins, no walking but some very slow running 😂.

I had never gone beyond 10 miles before and was having a bit of a mental block to be honest, I’d done 10 miles 5 times. I decided to use a “spokes of a wheel “ approach i.e 3 x 3k out and back from a central point, followed by a 3.1k finish. I’d planned it so the finish was on the footpath I’d started my C25k journey on last May and it worked!

The RunGo app with all the lovely motivational tips and the great Spotify playlist helped amazingly. I hope the organisers realise what a truly wonderful job they do. Can’t wait to hear everyone else’s story. Happy running 😀
